bojour รก tous,

Ive just came back from Hungary where I've found kind of hospitaliy I'ne never had before. Im going to write a travel article about my experiences in Budapest here...I was so schocked. Im french...and i started this 'discussion' only for asking you; what do you think, why eastern european (or hungarian) people are more friendly and hospitable than the western europeans?
I've also found a great travel approach there. i ve travelled with the budapestunderguide (underguide.com)see the site, i wonder if you could undertsand it before 'see it' -firtsly it was hard to understand them. they offered me local life..and all those expressive words. but afterward ,there, ive found they really let me feel myself at home or at a place where a friend live. i really appriciate new concepts on the world and people who havent forget the most importan goals of a travelling. for me is: getting know the people, live there. i know, all of you should prefer theese local experiences than tourist tracks...i would recommend you to see it in Hungary as well!! -where something really important rest despite of the conformity

Hi there,

Glad you enjoyed Budapest so much, I'll have to explore the website you recommended. But I'm not surprised to hear that Eastern Europeans are friendly, I've had lots of great experiences too!

Seeing stuff off the tourist tracks is something that's also very important to me. Can you tell us some of the kinds of things you saw or did that were off the main sightseeing beat?

cheers,
Amanda
