Hi Barbara, As far as I know, the dolls with the scenes (often famous sightseeing points, churches, or winter scenes, like you have) are usually post-Soviet era made-for-tourist dolls. Traditionally, they would just have flowers on the aprons, in different styles depending on the origin. But of course, the tradition isn't even that long - only 100 years - so we can still be happy with our "scene" dolls, I think!
