What a nice story, Amanda. This is what I love about traveling -- being in the places where important things happened, being in the houses where great people lived and worked. I am a great admirer of the music of Edvard Grieg, and one of the highlights of all my travels was standing in the tiny little lakeside room at Trollhaugen where he wrote much of his music, looking out at the same Norwegian landscape that he saw as he was writing.

Thanks, Barbara. Yes, traveling is an incredible thing when it brings you along the same paths that people you admire and read a lot about have been. At home in Australia our history formed in a different way, of course, so for me Europe is the home of so many incredible people and places, I could never tire of looking for more of them ...
