I was just offered a job with UNDP in Srebrenica, Bosnia so I am thinking about moving there with my wife for a one year commitment. Has anyone been there on vacation or has experience with living in post-war Bosnia? I am trying to gather some information and do not know what to expect. Srebrenica has had a few issues since the war so I want to know if it is considered safe today!!!???

Hi, congratulations on the job offer.
I've passed through Bosnia on vacation, and in general found that although there's plenty of evidence of the war, it isn't especially dangerous. Having said that, Srebrenica could be a different case, and I really don't know.
Bosnia is actually covered over at South Europe Travel but I've already checked with Barbara and she doesn't have any extra tips at the moment.

Can other readers help out with up-to-the-minute Srebrenica?
