Poll: Accommodation in Russia

Our poll on your preferred accommodation in Russia had an interesting result: our readers divide into homestay versus luxury hotel extremes!

This week we asked you all where you'd prefer to stay on a journey through Russia. Although the alternatives ranged from camping through to a luxury hotel, readers settled clearly on two distinct sides of the fence! Exactly half of you were convinced that a top of the range hotel, with four stars or more, was the way to travel. And the other half: you're after my own heart, because the votes came in for homestays with local people. Whether it's to save a little cash compared to a pricey hotel, or the interest in meeting and living with local Russians, it's the most rewarding accommodation I've ever used.
