For the last year we've been bringing you specialized articles and blog updates on travel and tourism across Eastern Europe and Russia.

A year ago today, you might've read my story about touring Vladivostok - one of Russia's easternmost cities. Since then, we've moved only west but have explored all kinds of great parts of Eastern Europe and Russia. Over the past year we've been tracking what stories you most like reading, and here are the results:

  1. Visiting the world's largest lake, Russia's Lake Baikal, is the most popular read.
  2. Whether shopping for matrioshka dolls or other traditional gifts, learning about Russian Souvenirs comes in at #2.
  3. Still in Russia, many of us dream about Cruising from Moscow to St Petersburg.
  4. And still in Russia, my favorite building ever comes in at #4: St Basil's Cathedral.
  5. At #5 we finally get out of Russia, with many of you enjoying reading about Bratislava's Christmas Markets.
